Install nagios agent on AIX client

Hi Team,
In one of my client landscape, they have hybrid environment where they have RHEL, AIX power8 servers. So I would like to know weather we can install nagios client on AIX servers and monitor all the server parameters. Please provide reply and the documents.

Just to be clear, are you wondering if Nagios can be installed on AIX power8?

I know you can monitor AIX with NCPA, Linux agent or SNMP, but that could be through RHEL with Nagios installed and then using the agent or SNMP to gather info from AIX.

My Nagios core is installed on RHEL. Now I want to monitor AIX power 8 clients. Can you please provide the document to install nagios client on AIX machine.

What version of AIX is the power8 running on?

You could install NCPA which will work on AIX 6/7.

Otherwise, using SNMP is an option to monitor AIX.
