Hi,
I am new in Nagios world , i have a preinstalled Nagios and i wanted to edit a cfg file to remove a host
but i can see two files one ends with *.cfg and the second is *.cfg~ !!
and if I removed the host from the file , do i need to restart Nagios ?
what dose *.cfg~ means

Hello, @grafix143. *.cfg~ is a temporary file. You need to edit the regular *.cfg. And yes you'd need to restart nagios after:

service nagios restart
