SNMP Trap Sender - Service RECOVERY traps are missings

Post by op-team »

Hi Guys,

We would like to SNMP Trap to other tool when a host/service is DOWN/CRITICAL and when returns UP/OK

We have set the component "SNMP Trap Sender" as you can see from the screenshot below:
trapsender.PNG
We have noticed that traps are being sent when services are CRITICAL and UNKNOWN but not in case of RECOVERY.
We have confirmation of this by looking into /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/eventman.log file.

Is this a normal behaviour of the snmp trap sender?

We need RECOVERY traps and we don't want UNKNOWN Status to be sent.

How can we configure the snmp trap sender to send a trap regarding services when the status is CRITICAL and successively when returns OK (to clean the alert).

Thanks

B.R

When you select CRITICAL under services it is only sending the critical. At present XI only can only select ALL, NONE, CRITICAL or WARNING

In order to receive the recoveries the ALL would need to be selected.
