Hi friends.

We have bought NAGIOS XI license and my idea (if it is possible) is have a Nagios XI alone server monitoring computers.

I want to check with Nagios XI about 15000 hosts (ICMP only) and about 90000 passive services from these hosts.

I would like to know how do i have to configure ( CPU MEMORY HD NETWORK BBDD etc...) Nagios XI VM to get 90000 passive services results without problems.

I wanna receive them via NRDP and i don't know if it is possible to have a computer to make this job OK

you are embarking in a massive undertaking, as this is a lot of checks to put on a single XI server, and is FAR beyond what is normally possible.

Because all the checks are passive you may be able to do it, but most have to split the machines above 20-25k checks

You are going to want to follow all the recommendations here

Additionally, you want to get some extremely fast disks, (think RAID arroay of SSDs)
