Bug in scheduled downtime on XI

Post by mejokj »

Hi,

It looks like there's a bug in the scheduled downtime feature of Nagios XI versions 5.4.12 and 5.4.13. We were able to reproduce this on 3 different XI instances.

Whenever we schedule a downtime more than 9h by default UI is displaying 9h 6m 7s however the backend is still suppressing for the given time interval.

Thanks.

Hello, @mejokj. Can you include a screenshot of the scheduled downtime page where I can see the duration of 9h 6m 7s?

Is the problem that the UI is displaying 9h 6m 7s but in reality the downtime lasts only 9 hours?

I have attached the screenshot.

Try scheduling a downtime for more than 10 hours and the UI only shows 9h 6m 7s.

Just tested and appears to be working correct on my server, Duration says 21h 23m 8s like it should
Out of curiosity can you go to Admin -> System Profile -> View System Profile

And confirm the dates match in the section that looks like this

Code: Select all

Date/Time
PHP Timezone: America/Chicago
PHP Time: Thu, 07 Jun 2018 10:36:53 -0500
System Time: Thu, 07 Jun 2018 10:36:53 -0500

Date/Time
PHP Timezone: Asia/Muscat
PHP Time: Fri, 08 Jun 2018 19:54:04 +0400

I have tested and confirmed this issue on three different XI instances, all upgraded from previous versions at various times.

Could you tell us which previous versions you upgraded from?

I wasn't able to reproduce this either. Mine works and specifies the correct downtime duration.

What version of PHP?

Code: Select all

php -v

Could you show us another scheduled downtime,

But set it from the current day & time until next day.

Is it always the same result?

After doing that, could you send PM or post your XI profile for us.
XI Home Page --> Click "Admin" --> Under System Config click "System Profile" --> Click "Download Profile"
Then you can attach that zip file here or PM me or any support tech..

If you receive a profile build fail, then please follow the instructions listed in this KB article.

Thanks.

We tried setting another downtime from today to tomorrow, but the result is same.

How can I share the system profile privately?
