Hi Guys
Is there a way in Nagios to group hosts together and only alert if a certain percentage of those hosts are down?
I've looked at hostdependency but its not really what I need.
As an example, we have centres that have wireless access points and these are grouped in different locations, so there is always cover if a couple in a group go down.
In this instance we get alerted when individual access points drop, when its not really service affecting.
What would be good is if we can group all access points in each location and alert if 50% die for instance in a location.
Hope that makes some sense.
Thanks in advance.
Tony

I answered my own question.
Found Nagios BPI and have this installed and working.
Guess I should have searched a bit more before posting
