Solaris 8 is really old... I mean, really old.

What metrics do you need to monitor? You could try using SNMP or build NRPE on this machine...

I would like to monitor cpu, Swap, memory, uptime and file systems.

You should be able to use either one - SNMP or NRPE.

shall i use linux snmp wizard to monitor Solaris 8 ?
Re: Which wizard will be a good option for monitor Solaris 8
Using the Linux SNMP wizard is probably your best option. Once you have SNMP enabled on the Solaris 8 machine, you should be able to just run the wizard against it, and start monitoring it. Let us know if you have any further questions.
