make nagios.log historical datas migrate to livestatus

Post by kovjo57 »

I made a nagios upgrade from 3.5.1 to 4.4.2, so I had to uprade the broker, mk-livestatus from mk-livestatus-1.2.3i6 to mk-livestatus-1.5.0p6 also.My problem is, that I couldn't perfectly migrate the old nagios.log into the new nagios,
so that the livestatus handle it correctly. I doesn't do that ,because when I try to get the log datas for the last hour, it returns nothing.

echo -e "GET log\nFilter: time <= $(($(date +%s)))\nFilter: time >= $(($(date +%s)-3600))\nAnd: 2\nColumns: current_host_display_name time state\nSeparators: 10 9 44 124" |sudo /usr/local/bin/unixcat /usr/local/nagios/var/rw/live

In the nagios cgi based view, "Host Alert History" I can see the nagios.log correctly. It is the livestatus log table ,that isn't
updated at all.

Double check the install and configuration per https://mathias-kettner.com/checkmk_livestatus.html. Not having developed this though, I would suggest pinging the check_mk community - https://mathias-kettner.com/community.php
