Nagios Core information

Post by ggkavana »

Hi All,
I'm new here and I'm looking for any information or help I can get on Nagios Core. I have to prepare a DDC( Detailed Design Specification) for our team and will appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest you start reading on Nagios. I would like for you to write a DDS for Nagios. Since it`s open source, there`s plenty of documentation and videos of the product online. We need to build knowledge on the tool within the team.

The architecture should be simple as usually, a one server deployment is the norm.

Hi @ggkavana

I would start be taking a look at the Nagios Core documentation and GitHub repository.

Nagios Enterprises / Core @Github

Thanks....that's a lot of information....can you direct me to somewhere where I can get enough information to write a brief Design Specification? We're from a CA Spectrum shop so we have some idea how a monitoring tool works.
