Error message when trying to save a service

Post by vijilants »

Can one of the Nagios Support team please help..

I managed to get an IP SLA service going on one of our Nagios systems and it has been successfully running as per the thread https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 16&t=49625

However , when trying to implement the same on our other nagios system and trying to apply the configuration, I get the following error message:

Error: Invalid max_attempts, check_interval, retry_interval, or notification_interval value for service 'IP SLA Round Trip Time SLA 1' on host 'Dart01'
Error: Could not register service (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/IP_SLA_RTT_SLA_1.cfg', starting on line 16)

Can someone please advise as I'm not sure as to weather this is a file / directory permission issue as the services are identical, and since this particular system was migrated on to a new platform I have encountered several faults that have come down to file / directory permission errors.

Thank you
