Nagios XI Send Notification received via email

Is it possible for Nagios XI to receive an email notification from another system and send out an notification based on that?
i'm having an issue where an external system is sending out a notification but our pagers are limited by the amount of characters that can be displayed and the external system can't be modified to truncate them.

It is possible but not something that's built-in. You would need to setup the postfix mailserver but it should be doable via something like this:
