NSCP-0.5.0.62-x64 not starting after server 2016 reboot

Post by lpereira »

Hello:
I'm installing NSClient on several Windows Servers 2016. and i'm having problems after server is rebooted, the service nsclient does not start automatically. even if the option "automatic" is selected. i must login and start the service by hand.

Is there any fix for this?

Thanks in advance.

How did you install the agent? Did you use the zip file, MSI installer, silent install? Is NSClient++ service running as a "Local System account" on this server or as your account (user)?

Yes, is the same procedure i do for all the servers. Also i have selected "restart" the service on the recovery tab. However every time the server back online after a reboot, the serive does not start automatically

See the Screenshots for reference.

This only happen on 2016 servers, 2008 & 2012 works fine

I suggest installing the latest 0.5.2 stable version of the NSClient++ agent which can be downloaded as this link.
https://nsclient.org/download/0.5.2/

See if that fixes the issue.
