Nagios XI 5.5 or higher will support php 7.0, 7.1 or 7.2.

if upgrade NagiosXI then php will also upgraded, or need to manual upgrade php?

Upgrading Nagios XI does not upgrade PHP.

So have to manually install new version PHP?!

what version of PHP would you recommend?

Hi @xpertech

If you really want to use PHP 7+, we recommend installing Nagios XI on Debian or Ubuntu, so that you can use the version of PHP in the official repositories.

We don't normally recommend manually upgrading PHP if it can be avoided, since this often creates additional complications when upgrading Nagios XI.
