Hello,
We updated the dbpass in /usr/local/nagvis/etc/nagvis.ini.php. After doing so, we are receiving this error in the Nagios interface for Nagvis. Thoughts?
The attribute dbpass in section backend_nagiosxi in main configuration file does not match the correct format. Please review your configuration.
nagvis.ini.php
Re: nagvis.ini.php
Could be an issue with special characters maybe. Do you mind PM'ing the file to me, and I can take a look?

Re: nagvis.ini.php
I sent it to you last night. Let me know if you didn't get it.
Re: nagvis.ini.php
Just checked, looks like it didn't get attached, or the forum software filtered it.

Re: nagvis.ini.php
I've just circled back to this, yes it is catching on the first special character, the second it seems to accept just fine. I looked around for NagVis documentation on which characters are acceptable, but I did not find any. It may be a MySQL/MariaDB restriction, given the character in question.

Re: nagvis.ini.php
Ok. That is helpful. If we decide to move forward on Nagvis, we will do a reset of our passwords. It might be good if you included this info in the default password reset guide. That way folks won't use special characters in the passwords.
Re: nagvis.ini.php
A great suggestion, I will see about getting that added. Thank you! Is there anything else I can help with, or should I close this thread?
