Hi Team,
Can someone help with the nagios agent installation in free based storage device. We have knowledge on linux and windows. but as this is storage device (CRITICAL TO US). We are not sure how to install the agent in free based os storage device.
if you give step by step installation that will be help us alot. Appropriate some one can help on this

The storage device would have to have the ability to compile software and install required packages and libraries that are needed for the NRPE agent.
Can that be done?
The following link are instructions for compiling NRPE on various operating systems, you can try one of them to see if it can be done on your device.

Another option, if the storage device can be enabled to use SNMP, you could possibly use that to monitor the device.
