Slow Nagios XI

Hello folks;
My Nagios XI server (version 5.6.7) is slow to respond and sometimes we lose GUI access to it until we reboot (It's VM). and it keeps happening and i noticed that ndo2db process & mysqld process both are consuming high CPU especially ndo2db process.

Any idea what to do to fix that issue? currently we have to reboot the VM in order to bring it back to work but we can't sustain doing that.

Those would be worth checking out. How many service checks are you performing, and what virtual hardware do you have assigned to your Nagios VM?

The VM specs are :
16 GB RAM
8 vCPU
I have a little over 7000 services & about 950 servers configured to use Nagios

Also, with 7k service checks, and almost 1k hosts, you may need more memory and CPU. Can you post the results of these commands,
