XI Installation - External Resources

Post by mirann »

In the near future, I'll be installing Nagios XI in a "more secure than normal" network. I should be able to get access to all of the external addresses needed, but I'll need to put in a request before hand.
Is it possible to get a list of all of the external calls and resources that take place during the installation of Nagios XI?

the list is too varied to make complete because of so many repository locations possible, however if you are performing an install that is going to be fairly to fully locked down, I would recommend an Offline install, which will require zero off server dependencies.

Thanks, I figured that was were I'd end up, but that it would be worth asking.

It's the best option as locations could change for various dependencies, but the offline install is always self contained.
