nagios performance

while running the top I see that there are couple fo processes which are for httpd process from the apache user

/usr/sbin/httpd -DFOREGROUND

may i know wat this process is and how can we get rid of these process consuming the high cpu and memory.

httpd is the apache web server which run the UI for you to access the web interface for Nagios XI.

The more people you have using the web UI, reports running and API calls, etc., the higher the CPU and memory utilization will be for these process.

This is a required component of Nagios XI and the only way to reduce this would be to have less people using the interface.
