I have tried to turn on 'Allow service to communicate to desktop' but it did not help.
I ran the test3.bat as suggested on MY id and it worked as expected. I also got the pop up message.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Nagios\NCPA\plugins>start /b test3.bat
C:\Program Files (x86)\Nagios\NCPA\plugins>ok
0
C:\Program Files (x86)\Nagios\NCPA\plugins>
I can't login as nagios without creating this id and with all the craziness that is going on I don't have spare time to troubleshoot this further even though I would certainly learn something if resolved. It is working on my prod servers so I am happy for now.
Please close this case unless you have something easy and quick for me to try. Thank you very much for your help.
