Service PerfData is consuming lot of space
"service-perfdata" file is consuming the space of 25 GB.
this file is located in the folder "/usr/local/nagios/var" .
is there a way to trim this file? Like Purge the Old data or move Old data to some other place.

Hi,
Sure, can! What product/version are you using and how many hosts and services do you have setup?
RRD files are pretty efficient for space, there could an issue here processing performance data.
Also, you can delete old RRD files and it will not affect your monitoring.

Re: Service PerfData is consuming lot of space
I am using the Nagios Core version 4.4.5 .
We are monitoring around 510 Hosts and 3100 Services.
Can you please do let me where RRD files are located?
But my space concern is related to the file(service-perfdata) because this single file is consuming the 25 GB Space.
Currently i have stopped processing the Performance Data.
How to trim this file ?

Re: Service PerfData is consuming lot of space
Log into your nagios host and run: locate .rrd
Re: Service PerfData is consuming lot of space
Do you see a perfdata.log file or a npcd.log file in the /usr/local/nagios/var folder?
Check that for errors as to why the service-perfdata file is not getting processed.
