No IP on Reboot

Post by lance.peterson »

After rebooting my Nagios Server and Moving it to another Cluster on my HyperV it no longer has an IP address so I can only access from the console. I'm not sure where to start with this?

How did you have the network configured on your XI server before? DHCP, static IP, etc.?

The problem almost certainly isn't Nagios-specific, but is happening between Linux and HyperV, and quite possibly a MAC address issue:

You might find some clues in /var/log/messages, or the output of "dmesg".

I hope that points you in the right direction!
