Hello Support Team!
Please let me know if you'd prefer each of these issues/requests as individual posts instead a post with multiple issues/requests. I'm happy to do it either way, but it may be easire to track each one of them with one issue per post.
1.) Under menu: Administration | Mange Users:
When you select some/all users, we are currently only able to delete or email selected users. We would like to be able to also DISABLE / ENABLE selected users.
When you select some/all users, we would also like to update the Security Settings for selected users:
Authorization Level:
Can see all hosts and services:
Can control all hosts and services:
Can configure hosts and services:
Can access advanced features:
Can access monitoring engine:
Read-only access:
API access:
Core Config Manager access:
2.) In the Administration | Manage Users screen, we currently have the capability to sort by Username, Name, and email. We would like to be able to sort by other fields, especially "Last login". This would help with our semi-annual user audits.
3.) We would like the field "Date User Added" to the User table. If this is added, the upgrade to the version that contains this feature could have an easy "Would you like to convert your user's "Name" field to "FirstName" and "LastName"... and provide a before and after conversion tool that takes the first part of the "Name" field as the "FirstName" field, and the second part of the "Name" field as the "LastName" field. Giving the administrator the option to correct any errors during the migration. It doesn't make sense to sort the users by first name. We came across this method in various areas of Nagios XI, where we'd have to scroll through the names that start with "J" to find "James Smith". There should be a sort preference that goes along with this. IE, Apple's iOS allows you to view your contacts as "Last Name, First Name", or "First Name, Last Name".
4.) We'd like to be able to give some users access to advanced features (IE, the capacity planning charts) without providing access to be able to make any changes to hosts or services.
Many thanks for your support.
Regards,
JL

Re: User Administration Features Request
Hi JL,
Not sure what version you are using, but there is the option to enable/disable users from the Manage Users page. It's in the Actions field.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: User Administration Features Request
Hi Benjamin,
Thanks for the quick response.
The ENABLE/DSIABLE doesn't appear on our version (5.6.5). We only have the "Email" or "Delete" icon.
Regarding the previous email, I did a type-o on a couple of lines.
The first sentance of #3 should be a seperate feature. We would like the field "Date User Added" to the User table.
The second issue of #3 would be splitting up the "Name" field into "FirstName" and "LastName".
See attached photo for the options we have on the User Management screen.

Re: User Administration Features Request
Hi,
Thanks for the corrections, I think I've entered submitted that correctly and linked this thread as well.
I believe that has been available since 5.7, so If you can, I would recommend upgrading to the latest. Thanks for the quick response.
