Load balanced architecture with HA

Post by nagedre »

Hi All,

We want to know if there is something like load balancing distributed architecture support in NagiosXI.
For example, where we can have two or more PEER servers located in same (or different) location and monitor some X number of servers.
Also, if one PEER goes down, the other two can take care of the same X number of servers without affecting the monitoring.
Kindly let me know.

Note: I have gone through https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/gen ... utions.pdf
But here it is just distributed monitoring, I am not sure, if one of the NagiosXI server goes down, the others will takeover or not.

Also I have checked the option1 and option2 in the below link, but we cannot use them.
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf

Kindly suggest.

Basically we are looking to have NagiosXI installed in two or more servers and they should share all the config files among themselves.
So, when one of the NagiosXI server goes down, others can handle monitoring. (No third party tools)
