Custom OS Configuration

Post by srinija1994 »

Hi All,

How to monitor shares that are on custom OS but mapped as Windows shares using namespace.
Please help us how to configure this in Nagios.

Thanks in advance.
Srinija.

Hello,
Have you found out how to do this? Is there a custom configuration guide?
Thanks,
Stefan

Hi All,

Thank you so much for your replies but no luck.
Our requirement is to monitor a file whether it exists or not at a particular time in the shared folder.

We have a cohesity storage device and we took help from cohesity vendor and added it in Nagios. The files come from this cohesity storage device and sit on one shared path. We have to monitor those files.
Here the problem is we dont have permissions to add a plugin in the cohesity storage device.

So is there any plugin exists that we will install in our nagios server and monitor the shared folders for a file.

Kind Regards,
Srinija.

If you didn't find anything on the Exchange, then the next option is to consider creating your own plugin.

Here' are the development guidelines.

Good Luck and let us know if you have any questions about the process.
