Configuration verification failed -

Hello,

Nagios XI is failing to apply configuration with the error:

Code: Select all

Error: Template '' specified in host definition could not be not found (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/hosttemplates.cfg', starting on line 503)
It literally says Template '' (no name). Line 503 in /usr/local/nagios/etc/hosttemplates.cfg is the end of the file.

I've checked all of our host definitions, and they're are all using templates that exist. I've also tried deleting and re-writing the config files from the GUI - no luck.

Any ideas?

Possibly relevant: we updated to Nagios XI 5.7.4 (from 5.6.7) last week.

Can you please get and upload a system profile zip by going to Admin => System Profile (in the left menu), then clicking the blue button, then PM-ing it to me?
If you didn't get an 8% raise over the course of the pandemic, you took a pay cut.

Discussion of wages is protected speech under the National Labor Relations Act, and no employer can tell you you can't disclose your pay with your fellow employees.

System profile received. Investigating now.
If you didn't get an 8% raise over the course of the pandemic, you took a pay cut.

If you go into Core Config Manager (CCM) and mark the Host Template called "xiwizard_generic_host" as Active, it should resolve the problem.
