Again issue with Actions component after update to 5.8.0
Again issue with Actions component after update to 5.8.0
Hello,
Some time ago we experienced breaking issues with the Nagios XI Actions component. If I remember correctly a support ticket or forum post was logged, but we cannot find it for now.
So today we updated our Nagios QA instance to 5.8.0 and it seems like we have the same issue. Nagios Quick Actions are no longer running the correct action, there seems to be something wrong with the ordering again. As we use the quick action component a lot, this would need to be fixed before we can update production to 5.8.0 (from 5.6.14)
Also we have noticed another issue with multiple (or even all) Nagios XI components. When clicking the wrench icon, nothing is shown and and we get the message "Component function does not exist".
Please provide us with some feedback if there is a workaround to get the component settings working properly again and to get the quick action executing the correct action.
Thanks.
Willem

Re: Again issue with Actions component after update to 5.8.0
Same issue here, we were trying to configure the Google Map component but after 5.8 upgrade it displays the "Component function does not exist.". To be precise, every other configurable component is giving the same error.

Seeing the same error on my install. CentOS 7.9 - XI 5.8.0

Re: Again issue with Actions component after update to 5.8.0
Please replace this file with the one I've attached (unzip it first):
See if that helps.
Code: Select all
/usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components.inc.php

@WillemDH, I talked with Jake on this and he said that he remembers having you downgrade your Actions component to the old verion to fix that issue when you hit it before. I'm trying to find the ticket to see which version he had you use.
Re: Again issue with Actions component after update to 5.8.0
@ssax Tell Jake he has a good memory..
Havent done the update myself, but I was told the xi components were updated automagically after updating xi. Can we toggle / disable the auto update of components in the update script?

Thanks Jake for the component fix. Looking forward to more info on the Actions component issue.
So can we prevent auto update of the Action component during the update to 5.8.1?

Hello,
Seems we were wrong with the Action component issue. Because we were not able to see the Actions component settings, we were not able to seee that the Actions were organized differently then PR.
We just updated PR and for now everything seems to work flawlessly.
This thread can be closed, thanks all @ Nagios for this update!
