Nagios Call Alerts

Hi there.

We are in desperate need of call alerts on some of our most criticals checks in our Nagios XI. This because we have already experienced some ignored emails notifications on weekends or holidays and we strongly believe calls will have a major impact in that regard.

We have already looked for some solutions, or work-arounds but we still are trap on the Nagios Plugin/component side. We have and asterisk PBX to send calls but we think we need first to configure some sort of voip trunk between Nagios XI server and our asterisk PBX.

We tried this work-around in particular but with no success

Can someone help us out, or share some of his/her experience in this matter?

Do you need a voice alert? We do have text notification functionality in Nagios XI, that would be the easier setup.

This will use the email to SMS text notification service provided by the carrier. Let me know if that would work.

Otherwise, a third-party integration would be the other option such as pager duty.
