Nagios core monitor 2 diffrent vlan

Postby alkalk1 » Wed Nov 23, 2022 11:56 am

Hello
I have nagios core server connected and monitoring servers on vlan 10 (10.0.10.220/24 gw:10.0.10.1)
I want to monitor other machines on vlan 20 (10.0.11.220/24 gw:10.0.11.1)
How to do this?
Thank you.

I'm running Nagios core on a host on my primary VLAN and monitoring hosts etc. on an IoT VLAN. The IoT VLAN cannot access anything on the main VLAN but the main VLAN has full access to all hosts, services and so on on the IoT VLAN.

I didn't do anything special to monitor hosts in the IoT VLAN and it seems to be working without difficulty. You might have to edit firewall rules to allow your Nagios host to access hosts on the other VLAN.

In order to keep tabs on the hosts and other devices in my IoT VLAN, I have installed Nagios core on a machine in my main VLAN. While the main VLAN has no access to the IoT VLAN's hosts, services, etc., the IoT VLAN has full access to the main VLAN's resources. basketball stars
