Hello,
A developer we work with, helping develop our site which runs both Tomcat and IIS on different servers, suggested our URL redirects for both HTTP and HTTPS might be caused by a Nagios configuration problem. I'm using NRPE with NSClient++. Is this possible? I understand this is sort of a plugin question, but I'm just trying to establish if that's at all possible. I run active checks to hit a specific url to determine if it's live, using check_url. Plus the standard check_http on both servers.
Thank you,
Steve
URL Redirect Interference
Re: URL Redirect Interference
Are you asking whether NRPE or NSClient++ can cause redirects on your web servers? If so, then the answer is no. Otherwise you'll need to clarify, because your post was a little confusing.
Re: URL Redirect Interference
Thanks, let me clarify. We have redirects, but some aren't working that worked before. It was suggested by one of our guys that Nagios might be breaking the redirects somehow. I know Nagios is not the culprit, but I still wanted to check the forums because there's always a possibility of a bug or weird scenario..you never know sometimes

Re: URL Redirect Interference
This should be in no way causing your redirect issues, are you running those web servers on the same box as your Nagios server?
