Re: upgrade of NagiosXI
Hi @sneha.irali,
Here are instructions on upgrading Nagios XI. You will have to upgrade to version 5.10 and convert your database first, but then you can upgrade to 2024R1.1.1. RHEL 8.9 is compatible with XI 2024R1.1.1.
Let us know if you need help with anything else.
Thank you!

Re: upgrade of NagiosXI
hey, thanks for this.
How can I manually upgrade the NagiosXI app.
I have a client where they are not ok to allow internet to upgrade the app 5.8.10 to xi-2024R1.1.1. But they say they would have the required repos placed on Nexus repo proxy server which will act as a mediator where customer can whitelist the URL etc to download the repo,
Where customer can monitor the activity and have control over the Nexus repo server due to security reasons as its a Bank infra.
Now customer wants to know to build the Nexus repo server, we have to share the requirements for the Nexus repo server build, so that Nagios Server is subscribed to repo server and can download the packages/patch files from the Nexus repo server.
Any suggestions on how can we deal with this?

This document should contain the repo requirements along with our recommended steps for an offline installation/upgrade:

Re: upgrade of NagiosXI
thanks for the doc.
My query : if we have the required packages, on some server (called as proxy server), how will the upgrade script function in this case.

sneha.irali,
As long as you're sure you have the correct packages and versions, and have registered your repository (proxy server) with yum, the upgrade should work as expected. That said, we can't guarantee that everything will work as you are venturing into unsupported territory. Here is some documentation on adding yum repositories.
Best Regards,
