Hi Nagios Community,
So far I've found out how to stop notifications for a host, or for a service.
However, is there possibility to stop notifications for a specific service but only on one host?
For example I have 4 hosts, A, B, C and D. I only want notifications for the service check_disk for hosts A, B and C.
Is there a way to add this via the web interface or, preferably, in a configuration file? Or does this functionality not exist?
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
gshergill
EDIT
Is there a hierarchy for notifications?
For example, if the host has notifications off, but the service template has notifications on, will it continue to send out notifications?

Re: Notifcations Question
Sure, in
Configure -> CCM -> Services -> Modify -> Alert Settings Tab
set Notification enabled: off
For all the services you don't want to receive notifications for.
Apply Configuration

Re: Notifcations Question
Hi scottwilkerson,
That's brilliant, thank you!
Is there any way for this on the command line/in the configuration files? My test machine for Nagios XI doesn't work on the web ui, as I edited the files manually so "Apply Configuration" always fails.
No problem if there is no way - I'll just add to the production sever tomorrow/Monday and hopefully there won't be any issues.
Thank you.

Hi scottwilkerson,
Sorry, you can ignore my previous post and close this thread.
Just added to production server and it worked perfectly fine.
Thank you again for the great help.
