IBMi Check Diskconfig on OS level 7.5

Post by ptsmit »

Hi All,

I've a question about the default IBMi plugin for Nagios. I'm having three hosts currently checked with Nagios core. 2 times a v7.4 host and once 7.5 host. All the checks I perform are defined in one cfg file for a hostgroup containing all the hosts. So there is no difference in the defining of the checks. All the checks are running fine (all green) on all servers except the "Check DiskConfig" check on my v7.5 host. That one gives me an error ("Error - CPFB003 Certificate store password is not valid". On the 7.4 hosts it's working fine.

I also asked my IBMi specialist what could be the cause of this. And he also couldn't find what it is. The certificate store is working fine. But also we were wondering what has this checkt to do with the certificate store. It does not seem logical.

Any one here any idea??

Thanks in advance.

Grt. Tom

Here you see the host with the error message

Thanks for reaching out @ptsmit,

I'm assuming you are referring to the IBMi plugins found here.

Is it possible that the v7.5 host doesn't like the certificate because of some deprecation or protocol that's not supported? Maybe there's a way to disable certificate checking just to see?

Hi @ptsmit,

We have the similar issue "CPFB003: Certificate store password is not valid" after we upgraded the AS400 OS from V7R3 to V7R5.

Did you managed to resolve the issue ?
