Hi folks,
We have a Nagios Core 4.4.6 install (upgrade scheduled) in use with built-in hourly log rotation.
If we reload due to a config change, it doesn't log anything anymore until the next hourly rotation.
I guess it's something trivial, just can't see anything in the config/permissions that could cause it.
Possibly some SELinux context?
Regards,
Tamas
Nagios core 4.4.6 not logging after reload
Re: Nagios core 4.4.6 not logging after reload
Thanks for reaching out @tcsillag83,
Do you still get the issues after you do setenforce 0? If I remember correctly, by default the nagios core policy doesn't have the correct file paths so that might be causing the issue.

Re: Nagios core 4.4.6 not logging after reload
I stand corrected: SELinux is already disabled on the host (should have checked before posting), so that won't be my culprit...

Are the permissions the same before and after the log rotation?
