gaps in traffic from ASA and FTD

Post by kuchenmann »

I'm using the plugin "check_snmp_int" and pnp4nagios-0.6.26 [ 08-21-2017 ] for getting traffic information (graphs) of switches and firewalls.
I works fine with the Cisco switches, but with ASA-5545 and FTD-3120 I often see gaps between the results.
It is even different in the directions.
I've increased timeout to 30 seconds.

The plugin is binary:
SNMP Network Interface Monitor for Nagios version 0.50
Nagios SNMP plugins version 0.50, GPL licence, (c)2004-2007 Patrick Proy

pnp4nagios-0.6.26 [ 08-21-2017 ]

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out @kuchenmann,

What I notice is that the areas between the points are flat, and it seems like the areas with the gaps would just be errors in the graphing or something similar.

My question to you would be whether those gaps change locations as more data comes in, or whether the gaps are always in the same spot?
