HyperMap Host Status Incorrect
HyperMap Host Status Incorrect
We have HyperMap displayed as a dashboard on a large TV. Usually what happens is the display is updated with the correct hosts status (UP or DOWN). However I have only realised the host status is not correctly reflected in the HyperMap. If I unplug one of the hosts displayed on the map, NagiosXI correctly reflects the change. However the map still shows the host as UP. If I rerun the HyperMap option, the status of the host is updated and shows as DOWN. The same happens in reverse if I plug in the host to bring it back online. Does anyone know if there is a refresh problem with HyperMap?
Re: HyperMap Host Status Incorrect
Try the following steps
Cache issue: HyperMap may have used caching mechanisms to some extent, resulting in the state not being updated in a timely manner. Try clearing the browser cache or refreshing the HyperMap page to see if it can solve the problem.
Nagios XI Integration: Check the integration settings between Nagios XI and HyperMap. Ensure that the data synchronization configuration between them is correct. It may be necessary to review relevant plugins or scripts to ensure that they can update their status in real-time.
HyperMap Settings: Check the settings options of HyperMap to see if there are any related configurations for refresh rate or automatic updates. These settings may need to be adjusted to ensure real-time status reflection.
Version issue: Confirm if the version of HyperMap you are using is compatible with Nagios XI. Sometimes software version mismatch can also lead to functional abnormalities.
Log check: Check the log files of Nagios XI and HyperMap for any error messages or warnings, which may provide more clues.
