Hi,
If I understand correctly, you would like to migrate your configurations from Nagios Core to XI..To safely migrate from Nagios Core to Nagios XI please follow this guide:
http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ios_XI.pdf

Thanks, but what is not very clear to me is if the whole process of importing the files I have to do on the server is the Nagios Core previously passing the migration script and once converted perform tar and copy to the server where I have the NagiosXi and continue the import.
Or make a tar of all the different settings Nagios Core servers and pass them to the server where I have the NagiosXi and perform this task in the server NagiosXI, beg you to give me your opinion.

You will want to first use the
Using The Nagios XI Config Import Prep Tool
Then
Importing Config Files Into XI

Re: Migracions varios Nagios Core a un NagiosXi
Hello, forgive my insistence but more I read the procedure that you show me I have not clear what would be the steps to take, but forgive my insistence is that the server I have this monitoring NagiosXi and production servers so I can not be performing many tests, so beg you to help me clear the doubts I have at the time of executing the migration process:
It would have to pass the preparation of import scripts to servers where I have the Nagios Core and run on these servers and once the execution and pass result to Nagios XI server and run from a Web Import the folowing steps.
Or copy the configuration files for each of the servers I have with Nagios Core to Nagios server and perform all in Xi that server.
thank you very much

Yes the documents provided show you how to properly prepare and integrate Nagios Core configuration files with Nagios XI. What are you struggling with exactly?
As for your point on the production Nagios XI server not being able to be tested on, if you have not used your license three times it is recommended to set up a demo/test server with your Nagios XI activation key.

What you're saying is the same license that I have I can create another test server to test the migration procedure?

Yes, you will need to activate the license for the second server, but Yes, each license of XI comes with 3 activationscgrediaga wrote:What you're saying is the same license that I have I can create another test server to test the migration procedure?
1-Production
1-Backup/High Availability
1-Test Environment

Then will realize a server cloning we have now and will make thee as production and test for migration tests.
