The "last check" time displayed in Nagios XI does not match my time settings (it shows in GMT). I have followed the Nagios XI time settings doc and all looks ok to me.

Have you tried restarting the server? I've seen this type of weirdness, even though, not very often. The resolution was to restart the server. I am not sure what causing it. It's probably something, environment specific.

Bingo! That fixed it, why didn't I think of doing that? Maybe I am too used to just restarting services and hardly ever rebooting Linux servers!
