Where are the 'help boxes'?

I'm a newbie. I've tried to search forums and online docs.

In CCM, reconfiguring a host, Check Settings tab, what do all the check boxes mean and when should they be used?

I've searched forums and online docs. One doc says to check the 'help boxes' at the end of each field. The blue balls with white question marks just aren't on my screen. Is there a setting to enable them?

These are available in the Legacy CCM, however in the new version they are replaced by the drop down Documentation bar at the top of man of the pages.
