NagiosXI 2011 - Centos 5.5 64bit and upgrade/migration

Post by aels »

Hi,
Just wondering I am looking at upgrading our system to the latest version.
Can you please confirm if Centos 5.5 64bit is supported? or is only 32bit supported.
Another question, I noticed patches being mentioned in posts. Just wondering are these patches available from specific download location?
If I need to migrate from Server A running (2009R1.4B) to Server B (running clean install of 2011R1) is there any upgrade/migration documentation for doing this.
Also can the MySQL database be upgraded to 5.5 and is this version supported?
Thank you in advance
Anton

64 is fully supported as well. If that's out of date in our docs somewhere let us know so we can update it.

I'm not actually sure on this one, we use whatever ships with CentOS 5.4/5.5 and RHEL 5.

We haven't done any testing on this yet. That will be one of the things we have to look at when trying to update XI to run on RHEL/CentOS 6. It may work, but we have no idea yet. Feel free to try it on a test system and let us know what you find out.
