I was wondering if it was possible to prevent a host group from displaying in the GUI, or perhaps there is another solution for what I am trying to do. I have two groups. One is called telephony and has a different assortment of devices in it which are being pinged. The ping is being applied to the group as a whole. I have another group called confphones, which has a subset of telephony. Other services are checking against the confphones group. Now in the GUI I see both groups, telephony and confphones. Since confphones is a subset of telephony it is showing redundant information that is already displayed in telephony. Is there a way to prevent the confphones from displaying?

No, unless you wish to edit the cgi sources and rebuild.
