View Alias in GUI instead of hostname

Hello,

Is it possible to have the GUI display the alias instead of the hostname? I would prefer to see the alias, because it is more descriptive. But also keep the hostname short, since it is more convenient for writing checks.

And you want this displayed in the Hosts > "Hostname" list correct? This is not currently possible to my knowledge due to how the mechanics of Nagios work on the back end.

I was actually looking to view it in hostgroups in the GUI. Then within each defined hostgroup that is shown I would see the alias under 'Host'.

Unfortunately they still follow the same rules.
