How Can I return to zero state after to do a wrong installat

Post by jm3_nagios »

Dear,

I'm evaluating your product Nagios XI, could you assist me ?

I have a RHEL6 server updated to the last patch level.
I downloaded the trial package of Nagios XI to evaluate.
I Followed the steps mentioned in the Manuakl Installation instruction,
But At the end, there were a problems with the DB Postgres.

How Can I clean al the installation to start from cero again.
I recognized that your installation process didǹt included postgres-server
at the beginning. I installed it and I like to start again.

What is the procedure to return to zero after a failed installation of Nagios XI ?

Thanks,
Regards,

RHEL 6 is not currently supported just yet, although we hope to have it ready soon. We recommend CentOS 5 or RHEL 5 for full support. We're still working on documenting and modifying the install scripts to allow for RHEL 6.

Do your evaluation needs require you to use RHEL6, or will you be able to run your test on one of the supported distros? (We can probably talk you through it on RHEL 6, but the tech who is getting it ready isn't in today).

I'm also interested in installing the server on RHEL6. Any updates on this?

Honestly, I got kind of frustrated fiddling with registration and stuff with RHEL, so put off figuring out how to adapt things to support RHEL 6 until CentOS 6 came out, which the CentOS team has been super-slow getting out the door. I may have to just give up and go back to testing on RHEL if they can't pull off the release.
