Nagios Scheduling

Post by balajei »

Hi All,

I have been using Nagios3 for snmp collection through customized plugin. Suddenly after 10Hrs, Nagios stopped scheduling and cannot see any progress at all. Can anyone help me by providing pointers to start debugging the issue. I could not find much information from nagios.log and status.dat files.
Only change i have done as part of configuration is set "service_inter_check_delay_method=n" instead of s(smart mode), not sure this has caused the issue.

Thanks,
Balajei.

Can you post a screenshot of some of the hosts/services that are not being checked or updated? I want to see the durations and last check times.

Hi tmcdonald,

Thanks for your reply, Sorry i don't have the backup of status.dat at the time of issue, restarted the service within few hours to proceed with my test.I will ensure in future to have it for debugging.
Do i need to get backup of any other files during the time of issue occurrence and steps/procedure to follow during that unresponsive state ?

Thanks,
Balajei.

I don't necessarily need to see status.dat, I wanted a screenshot of the host/services pages.
