Unable to retrieve data from the local cache.
When using Nagios Fusion, I have one of my site which is giving me the error Unable to retrieve data from the local cache.
I did look at both the Manage Fused Servers and the Server Credentials and both look OK. This site is remote and is linked by satellite with about 600 to 1000 ms latency. Could the latency be causing this problem ?
Any help with be great on this error.

Re: Unable to retrieve data from the local cache.
It's certainly possible. How long does a wget of the nagiosxi\core index page take on that system? From your location, does accessing that XI\core page seem delayed and slow?
Code: Select all
time wget http:\\[hostname]/nagiosxi/index.php
time wget http:\\[hostname]/nagios/Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.

From the Fusion server to the NagiosXI server, I did a few test it is between 3.5 to 5 sec.

This could definitely be a problem, it is possible you may be getting dropped packets as well.

Is there anyway to change the timeout on Fusion ?

Re: Unable to retrieve data from the local cache.
How many nagios servers do you have on the fusion server? Are there multiple servers at that same location or is it just this one that routes through to fusion?
Re: Unable to retrieve data from the local cache.
Actually, I don't think 3.5 sec should be timing out. Fusion makes an ajax request to the XI servers, and this should not be timing out in 3.5 seconds. We are going to look into this further.

Re: Unable to retrieve data from the local cache.
This would be valuable as right now with the information you gave us we have no idea if there are multiple XI servers on the same network, and only one is behaving strangely. It gives us a better idea of what to look at.Are there multiple servers at that same location or is it just this one that routes through to fusion?

No they are all at different sites with different subnet.
Some are on normal internet some are on satellite link.
