Bulk Service Import?

Post by tippy24 »

I'm running Nagios XI, and have a need to import hundreds of 'services' that are attached to only three hosts. I'm using the modbus_tcp plugin to read branch circuit monitoring(monitors power use). The Bulk Host Cloning and Import wizard doesn't work for this purpose.

I have created a number of spreadsheets with the configuration information for each service, as per the plugin.

Has anyone found a way to bulk import services from a spreadsheet, or CSV file? I have hundreds, and doing it by hand would be ridiculous. It seems something should exist to make this less time consuming.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

We do not offer a way to convert excel or csv to cofnigs. You may be able to create a bash script to covert these. Can you give me an example of how a few objects are formatted in your csv file?
