I can not see switch

I configured everything according to the official instructions, nagios can not see my switch. I only have localhost. Suggestions?

Have you made sure to configure both a host, and services for the switch, as well as whatever is required by the mechanism you are using to check it? What distro are you running on? Can you run the following and show the output if you are running CENTOS/Rhel:

/usr/local/nagios/bin -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

Did you restart nagios' service after adding your hosts?

Agreed, verify then restart if the configs check out ok. Otherwise nagios will not update with the new switch.
