Nagios XI 2014 RC2 Issues

Upgraded to RC2 and have just a few comments:

1.) The added button to send email to selected users is nice, can we also get one that is "send to all users" or add "No Limit" to the list of users, other wise if you have more than 50 users you'd have to send more than once
2.) The not auto running reports works great, but metrics are still running regardless of the check box status under performance settings - FIXED
3.) Where is the option setting to remove the NNA tab? - FIXED

Will take a look at 1 & 2, as for the button to remove the NNA tab it's found under the Nagios Network Analyzer component settings in Manage Components.

May I ask what version of the Metrics component is installed on your Nagios XI?

Metrics Component is 1.2 and shows as up to date.

NNA Component is 1.0 and shows as up to date as well.

That would be the problem! With RC2 comes a new v1.0 of the NNA component and a v1.3 of the Metrics component but they don't get installed because you already installed the major release (2014R1.0RC1) so it skipped over them on install of RC2 which is a minor release. We will probably be adding a way to update these forcefully on upgrade/install but you can copy them over from the unzipped RC2 tarball and that will give you the new versions for the time being.

I grabbed the NNA component and updated and it now works as expected, so #3 is done

I grabbed the metrics.zip and updated it and it still shows 1.2 and still auto running.

The new version of Metrics isn't available on assets yet (since we are still in beta for 2014) but I sent you a PM with it.

Spenser, the 1st 1.0 didn't, but the 1.0 that came with RC2 but wasn't updated when upgrading from RC1 is working.

#2 and #3 from the opening post are now complete and this thread can be considered closed. #1 isn't a deal breaker, just wanted to point out the small deficiency in the new feature.

Grab the "nagiosna.zip" from the "/tmp/nagiosxi/subcomponents/xicomponents/components" directory and use it to reinstall the component:

Admin->Manage Components->Browse->nagiosna.zip->Upload Component

Let me know if the "Disable Host/Service Tabs from being shown" checkbox appeared under the "Nagios Network Analyzer Component" settings.

Very interesting, we noted on the other thread that there might be a bug with updating components on the beta update. Will have to investigate further obviously. Regardless, closing for now, let me know if you want it reopened.
