Yes, I utilize the RAM disk.

Once the system is back up, I will investigate further.

Is there any way to stop Nagios from storing the check results from NRDS for a period of time in order to troubleshoot?

The nrds agent reports through a url, so you would need to stop the httpd service to stop nrds checks from being processed. This is not a great solution as you may need the web ui in order to resolve certain issues. In those cases, you could always change the tokens temporarily to stop receiving checks from remote hosts.
