Could you please tell me the format for the URL , I have given like below , but when i try to open it gives me a a error. what i am missing here
notes_url http://nagios_ipaddress/nagios/pnp/index.php?host=$HOSTNAME$
note_url display as a piece of paper icon or red folder icon please confirm.

getting the below error.
Not Found
The requested URL /nagios/pnp/index.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.15 (Red Hat) Server at xxx Port 80

I doubt you are able to pass the $HOSTNAME$ macro into the note, and have it output as the actual hostname for that host. Macros are not normally interpreted for notes as far as I know. Does it work properly if you enter the actual name that pnp has for that host?

When you say "Does it work properly if you enter the actual name that pnp has for that host" what does mean. Please tell me how to create the url , how should i create a URL format.
what configuration that i have to make to see the extra folder in red color in the host details.
Please let me know.

If instead of $HOSTADDRESS$ you manually put in the host name, such as "localhost". For example:
http://nagios_ipaddress/nagios/pnp/index.php?host=localhost
This is just an example. You should replace "localhost" with the name of the host.

If i want to add extra host information like ( server owner , type of host ..etc. ) on host details then how do i do that using nagios core....
