I didn't find anything weird in the logs. Go to Admin->Reset Security Credentials and click on the "Update Credentials" without changing anything else. Let us know if this resolved your issue.

Can you run the following procedure and post the results

Also, can you verify that you have all green in Admin -> System Status and Admin -> Monitoring Engine Status

Locking, for future reference this was due to not having RWX on /usr/local/nagios/etc/import/ for nagios and apache users\group.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
